This fifty member choral group performs with world-class soloists and an orchestra of professional musicians. Under the direction of Stephen Field, the ensemble typically performs two annual concerts, presenting a wide variety of choral repertoire.

The mission of Carolina Vocal Arts Ensemble (CVAE) is to create and deliver to Wilmington and the surrounding communities the highest level of musical excellence. As we embark upon our 6th season, this is exactly what has been accomplished. As expressed by a patron, "CVAE is a national treasure right here in Wilmington."
