Stephen Field, Artistic Director
Mr. Field has performed as piano soloist with the Memphis Symphony, Manchester Symphony, Connecticut Chamber Orchestra, Germantown Symphony, The UCONN Symphony Orchestra, The University of Memphis Orchestra, Southern Comfort Jazz Ensemble, Northeast Arkansas Symphony, Memphis Jazz Orchestra, The Rhythm University Orchestra and the Ars Nova Orchestra. He has worked with conductors Mitch Miller, Skitch Henderson, Paul Phillips, Alan Balter and Sexton Ehrling among others. He has also played piano for Dave Brubeck and Jerry Herman. He is widely sought after as soloist, accompanist, and chamber music partner.

Stephen’s conducting credits include University of Connecticut Chorale, University of Memphis Opera Theatre, Connecticut Opera Alliance, Black Rock Church Choir and Orchestra, The Bach Chamber Choir and Orchestra of Wilmington, and Carolina Vocal Arts Ensemble. Recently, while on a tour of Ukraine, he conducted the Brahms Requiem for a national television and radio broadcast. He has coached, accompanied and conducted opera performances in Tennessee, Mississippi and in various Connecticut cities as well as accompanying hundreds of recitals and concerts for various vocal artists, including Osceola Davis and Patrice Munsel.

Stephen Field graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Piano Performance and earned a Masters in Piano Performance at the University of Memphis. He has taught on the faculties of both institutions as an associate professor. Locally, Mr. Field is the Music Director at First Christian Church and teaches piano privately at The Field Studio, while continuing to perform.
